“If I get no help here, is there nowhere else I can find help❓”
If we humbly seek help, help is everywhere to be found.

I returned home from work. I packed my stuff, getting ready to leave.
Mum said, “Leaving?”
I said, “Yes.”
Mum said, “For music?”
I said, “Yes.”
Mum said, “I want you to help me with doing some online applications.”
I said, “What to apply for?”
Mum said, “JoyYou Card.”
I said, “What’s that?”
Mum said, “For the 2-dollar MTR ride.”
I said, “Are you eligible for the application?”
Mum said, “Only those over 65 were but now those over 60 are. I’m already over 60.”
I said, “How do you know those over 60 are eligible?”
Mum said, “I checked it online.”
I said, “Why didn’t you do the application when you’re checking it online?”
Mum said, “I didn’t know how to do it. If I did, would I have waited for you?”
I said, “So it isn’t urgent.”
Mum said, “Not urgent to me but to me. I want the 2-dollar MTR ride.”
I said, “I’m in a hurry. I’m going out.”
Mum said, “When are you available?”
I said, “Friday evening.”
Mum said, “If I got something urgent, I’d end up in great trouble waiting for you.”

I walked Pei Pei and Tung Tung home.
Mum said, “I solved it. No more bother tomorrow evening.”
I said, “What did you solve?”
Mum said, “The application for JoyYou Card.”
I said, “You did it yourself? You said you don’t know how.”
Mum said, “No, I don’t know. I asked somebody for help.”
I said, “Dad did it for you?”
Mum said, “He knows nothing about anything online. I’m even smarter than he does about smartphones.”
I said, “Who did you ask then?”
Mum said, “My daughter.”
I said, “My sister?”
Mum said, “Yes, she’s back for dinner last night. Immediately I asked her to help with my application for the JoyYou Card.”
I said, “So smart. I’m busy and you move on to another for help.”
Mum said, “Of course, I won’t sit waiting for you, will I? I’ve got not only a son, but also a daughter.”
…….
Another me said, “Your mum’s got a son and a daughter. If the son can’t help, the daughter can. I have no son nor daughter. Who can I ask for help?”
I said, “People around. Aren’t sons and daughters people around you as well?”
Another me said, “I have no relationship with people around, do I?”
I said, “Yes, you do. Many people around follow Jesus. We’re members of God’s family.”
Another me said, “Even members of His family may not help, just like you.”
I said, “I don’t mean I offer no help, but just not immediate help.
Another me said, “You’re good at word play. If you don’t help right now, don’t help!”
I said, “Why should I help you after you ask? Why should it be immediate? Who do you think you are? Giving commands? Even the Lord, after giving commands, allows time for our considerations and choices for us to decide whether to follow or not. Let alone you?”
Another me said, “It is because around me are so many like you that I’m offered no help at all.”
I said, “Besides, have you asked anyone else for help?”
Another me said, “No, I pray and ask the Lord to come over and offer me His helping hand.”
I said, “Hey, you sound like you were the Lord. Anyway, after prayers, do you see the Lord come over and offer you His helping hand?”
Another me said, “No.”
I said, “You don’t see the Lord. So who do you see?”
Another me said, “People.”
I said, “If the Lord has decided not to come over and offer you His helping hand, but prepared you a lot of His people to offer help along your way, would you ask them?”
Another me said, “If they sincerely offer me help, they should come over themselves.”
I said, “If you humbly ask the Lord for help, you should make your way towards Him.”
