“Fish or loaves, only one out of two❓”
The Lord may grant both if He agrees to such a need.

My classmate and I completed today’s practice on the AMusTCL Theory Past Paper.
Classmate said, “I’d like to look around for a place to rent.”
I said, “As a music workstation.”
Classmate said, “Yes.”
I said, “Why do you want a music workstation?”
Classmate said, “It’s too noisy at home.”
I said, “Not desirable for instrument practices?”
Classmate said, “Not desirable indeed.”
I said, “Frankly, I’d like to rent a place as the music workstation too.”
Classmate said, “Really?”
I said, “My home can accommodate no more than my digital piano.”
Classmate said, “I see.”
I said, “I want a grand piano. My digital one is good for recording but bad for fingering practices.”
Classmate said, “Yes.”
I said, “If you find a place to rent, may I share? I’ll put a grand piano there. The remaining space is up to you.”
Classmate said, “Sure! Renting a place on my own is far too expensive to me.”
I said, “Actually, I use it mainly on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during my diploma studies in the coming two years.”
Classmate said, “The time I’m using it, you’re probably working.”
I said, “Great. Let’s consider it. I’ll do a search about grand piano.”
……
Another me said, “In May this year when you’re looking for a piano in preparation for the student concert, you did make prayers to God that you want a music workstation, didn’t you?”
I said, “Yes, I did.”
Another me said, “It’s a prayer made already several months ago.”
I said, “About 4 months ago.”
Another me said, “Wow, a prayer made 4 months ago, God still remembers. Oh my…”
I said, “I need a piano, with a grand piano the most desirable for fingering practice but there is too little space at home.”
Another me said, “Why haven’t you rented one so far?”
I said, “Renting one in my own is too expensive. I’m too busy to use it every day.”
Another me said, “So what to do?”
I said, “Practise on my digital piano. Ask someone to lend me one if I need to make recording.”
Another me said, “Why don’t you replace the digital one with a piano?”
I said, “There’re a lot of good functions in the digital one, especially the recording function. The volume can be turned down as well when I practise at night.”
Another me said, “So you want to keep the digital one at home and rent another place for a piano for fingering practices. But renting one on your own is too expensive,”
I said, “Bingo.”
Another me said, “Even with fish held in your hand already, you still ask for loaves. You don’t save face for yourself.”
I said, “In front of my Lord, I don’t need that.”
Another me said, “Normally, each of us should only choose one of the two, either fish or loaves. Now you want both of them. Impossible!
I said, “Possible! If the Lord agrees that I have a need for both, He may provide me with loaves after fish.”
Another me said, “Is it you that provides?”
I said, “No, it’s the Lord.”
Another me said, “You still remember.”
I said, “But now that the Lord’s sent me a classmate that wants to rent a place as a music workstation too. This looks like He is going to provide loaves after fish. I think I have a need for both. For sure, I’ll ask for both as earnestly as possible.”
