If you seek Him in faith, you will find His preparations some day.

Applied Music Class

Teacher said, “Alright, that’s all for today.”

I said, “Thanks. See you next week.”

Teacher said, “By the way, do you know if the academic director is at the office?”

I said, “Probably.”

Teacher said, “How do you know?”

I said, “I’m going to have the aural and sight-singing class at 7:00 p.m., which is taught by the director. It’s now 6:45 p.m. It’s very unlikely not to have been back to the office.

Teacher said, “Great. Then, I go to the office.”

I said, “OK, bye bye.”

Aural and Sight-singing Class

Director said, “Wai Hung.”

I said, “Here.”

Director said, “Your Applied Music teacher is going to leave our school for emigration. You know it?”

I said, “She did once mention such a consideration but it still awaited confirmation.”

Director said, “Confirmed.”

I said, “When?”

Director said, “End of August.”

I said, “What?”

Director said, “What are you going to do in July? You’re now learning from me about finger-work and should be until the end of summer. You may consider following me in Applied Music as well since July? Or any other teacher you want?”

I said, “I follow you.”

Director said, “OK.”

Another me said, “Alas, your teacher. She says, ‘go’ and she goes.”

I said, “Yes, she’s leaving the school for emigration.”

Another me said, “But her information didn’t come until the end of May. It’s too late. What preparations can you make? What are you going to do?”

I said, “Why are you so worried? Who is now leaving is a teacher not of yours but of mine! But you’re even more worried than I am.”

Another me said, “The earlier the information, the more time that is allowed for your preparation.”

I said, “God’s made preparations much earlier than we expect.”

Another me said, “God’s much earlier prepared to ask the director to inform you at the very last moment, right?”

I said, “In preparation for the current change of my Applied Music teacher, As early as around 3 months ago, at the start of the second term, God asked if I’d enrol in “The Scales in Music” and asked the director to help with my finger-work. What’s more, since I followed the director, I no longer suffer pain after piano practices.”

Another me said, “Wow! If you hadn’t enrolled in ‘The Scales in Music’,  you wouldn’t have sought help from the director and now you’d have been an orphan student.”

I said, “What orphan student? You’ve gone too far. Even if I hadn’t enrolled in ‘The Scales in Music’, there are so many teachers in the school that can help. God has more preparations than you have expected.”

Another me said, “Preparations? Preparations? Not every teacher suits you. Not every teacher has considerable expertise in dealing with the pain that you have from your problematic finger-work. You’ve had a trouble not little at all, you know! I wonder how you would have blamed God for His preparations if you couldn’t have found just that right teacher as the director.”

I said, “If I could not really find any right teacher by the time, I shouldn’t blame God for His insufficient preparations but instead asked myself whether I had really been seeking and taking the chances that God has prepared for me.”

Another me said, “If you cannot find any right teacher by the time, there is no point to reflect on whatever you have done or not, is there?”

I said, “Here is the point. Those that reflect on themselves are more able to take the next chance that God has prepared for them.”
