No bother and more attention. God has His own plan.

Director said, “When is your exam?”

I said, “August 24th, 09:15 p.m.”

Director said, “So how many days later?”

I said, “19 days.”

Director said, “So it’s about time.”

I said, “What?”

Director said, “Play the 3 exam pieces.”

I said, “OK.”

I played the 3 exam pieces once in a row.”

Director said, “Get someone to listen to your performance and make recording.”

I said, “OK.”

Director said, “Don’t record with a piano, but not your digital one.”

I said, “OK.”

Another me said, “What to do? Pray?”

I said, “Prayed.”

Another me said, “What’s your prayer about? Ask God to do a magic and get you a piano and a crowd of audience?”

I said, “You take God as Doraemon? And get whatever you want from his treasure pocket! “

Another me said, “So what’s your prayer? You’re already thirty something. No guesswork please.”

I said, “I asked God to get someone to receive me.”

Another me said, “Who would you like the host to be?”

I said, “One that’s got a piano at home.”

I told my church friend about my needs in preparation for the exam.

I said, “Can I come over for a recording of my performance of the 3 days exam piano pieces?”

Church friend said, “Yes, welcome.”

I said, “Thank you so much.”

I started warm-up exercises and preparation practices of the pieces.

Church couples fetched some dishes to the dining table.

I said, “Thanks.”

After dinner, I started recording. They turned my audience.

I said, “It’s done.”

Church friend said, “So quick.”

I said, “It’s actually been hours since I came in.”

Church friend said, “Indeed.”

I said, “How is your piano practice? Let’s play a piece.”

Church friend played a few bars.

Church friend said, “No, I’ve got problems in rhythms.”

I said, “Let’s try this app. I started playing it since the 2nd term.”

Church friend download the app. I made a demonstration.

I said, “Do you count your rhythms?”

Church friend said, “Not really.”

I said, “Let’s try this rhythm-counting system. Free download. I practise it. It works well!”

Church friend downloaded the PDF file of the rhythm-counting system. I made a demonstration.

I said, “Thank you for lending me the piano for 2 hours, listening to my performance and treating me a dinner.”

Church friend said, “I thank you for introducing me the app and a new rhythm system as well. You know, even some very simple rhythms, I spend a long time only to find that I can’t manage it.”

Another me said, “Hey, when did you make that preparation?”

I said, “What preparation?”

Another me said, “To return your church friend a favor.”

I said, “What favor?”

Another me said, “They received you, lent you a piano for recording and treated you a dinner; So in return, you had prepared the app and the rhythm system.”

I said, “You’re talented in making up stories. How can I make prior preparation for that?”

Another me said, “Why can’t you?”

I said, “I don’t know my church friend has got problems with rhythms until I was told about it and I heard it on the piano.”

Another me said, “Make sense.”

I said, “But, even if…I had known the problem before so I set off, I actually wouldn’t have needed any prior preparation for that.”

Another me said, “Why?”

I said, “Because the app is always available there to be searched in the store. And the PDF can also be downloaded anytime on Google. You like preparations. Let’s download one now for your use someday later.”

Another me said, “Hold on. How did you get the app?”

I said, “As early as in the first semester, I found I’d got big problems with rhythms. So I asked God to go searching with me and I found it.”

Another me said, “Then, where do you learn the rhythm-counting system?”

I said, “Hey, in aural and sight-singing classes, it’s a compulsory subject throughout the year in the Higher Certificate Studies. God asked the director to show us. How could you have ever passed the exams if you hadn’t grasped it? You’re heading for the Composition Diploma. You mean it?”

Another me said, “Hey, You really get me confused now. So next time when we show each other our hospitality, should we make preparation or not?”

I said, “Make it if you want. Don’t make if you don’t want.”

Another me said, “If I want it, what is the best preparation I can make?”

I said, “The best preparation, don’t bother. The Lord has His own plan.”

Another me said, “If I stop bothering, the Lord will show me His plan?”

I said, “The Lord’s plan takes our every attention to find out.”
