“When God’s command comes across my procrastination, how will it be done❓”

He may give me a push to have me do it.

Sister was back for the family gathering at Winter Solstice.

Sister said, “Our order at Tao Bao has come.”

Mum said, “Unwrap them.”

Sister said, “Mario T-shirt, it’s for Pei Pei.”

Mum said, “Wow, ruby red, next?”

Sister said, “This T-shirt, with a hat attached. It’s for Tung Tung.”

Mum said, “It looks a bit too big. Next?”

Sister said, “This sweater, it’s for Pei Pei.”

Mum said, “It appears nor big enough. Leave it for Tung Tung, next?”

Sister said, “SuperMe, for Pei Pei.”

Mum said, “Cool.”

Sister said, “Finally, chest sling, for Tung Tung.”

Mum said, “Son, it’s your order.”

I said, “Yes.”

Mum said, “Bring Tung Tung downstairs.”

I said, “Now?”

Mum said, “Yes. Dinner is over. I’m walking with your dad. There’s few people downstairs up the hill. Let’s go with Pei Pei and Tung Tung.”

I said, “No, I’m going. I practise the piano.”

Mum said, “No more than 20 minutes. We’ll be back in a while.”

I said, “Dad walks Pei Pei and you carry Tung Tung. How about this?”

Mum said, “No, I won’t.”

I said, “You’re going anyway.”

Mum said, “Doctor suggested that I should walk with no loads while recovering from my leg pain.”

I said, “Tung Tung isn’t that heavy, is he?”

Mum said, “Wow, he’s got a belly much bigger than he did.”

I said, “He’s not that heavy, just around 3 to 7 pounds.”

Mum said, “No, I won’t. I own my legs. I’m responsible for keeping them well.”

I said, “Sister, how about you?”

Sister said, “No, I’m just off. I’ve walked for a whole day. I’m so tired. I’m not going.”

Mum said, “Tung Tung, you bought him. You’re his dad. If you go, he goes. If you don’t, forget it.”

Sister said, “Thr chest sling, you bought it. If you use it, you use it. If you don’t, forget it.”

I said, “......Let’s go, Tung Tung.”

Sister said, “l’ll take care of the mess on the dining table.”

......

Another me said, “Date?”

I said, “Dec 21st.”

Another me said, “According to your dad, the doctor said he is a little overweight. When did he start jogging after dinner?”

I said, “Dec 12th.”

Another me said, “Between Dec 12th and Dec 21st, how many days are there?”

I said, “9 days.”

Another me said, “Already 9 days of waiting.”

I said, “Waiting for what?”

Another me said, “You pay your dad no company even though he isn’t in a good condition.

I said, “No.”

Another me said, “Am I asking you to go to Sha Tau Kok? Just downstairs up the hill. It takes just around 20 minutes!”

I said, “But God doesn’t ask me to go, does He?”

Another me said, “He does in Ephesians 6:2-3: Honor your father and mother —which is the first commandment with a promise— so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”

I said, “Neither of them believe in Jesus!”

Another me said, “Has He ever told us to honour only parents that follow Him?”

I said, “There’re so many ways to honour them. He may not be asking me to go jogging with them downstairs.”

Another me said, “It’s Winter Solstice tonight. God has Tung Tung, which you bought, sit here; He also has Tao Bao deliver the chest sling that you ordered; and He has as well your sister take care of the mess on the dining table. He has given such a big push only for you to wonder whether to jog with them downstairs up the hill for 20 minutes?”
