“How to live in faith under the Holy Spirit❓”
To should the tithe-offering responsibility with what the Lord has granted me.
……
Another me said, “I see in your bank statement there is a fixed amount of expenses.”
I said, “Hey, have you sought my permission before you do that?”
Another me said, “Well, you think you’ve got a lot of savings? It can be counted without a calculation.”
I said, “It’s not among the amount but my privacy, for which you’ve pay no respect at all.
Another me said, “Mr. Yip, would you mind showing me what the fixed amount of expenses is for?”
I said, “You’re now talking in a tone that sounds much more respectful.”
Another me said, “So what is that for? Tell me.”
I said, “An offering.”
Another me said, “Is it a monthly offering?”
I said, “Yes, by autopay. It saves me a lot of trouble.
Another me said, “Come on, you’re having less earning but more expenses.”
I said, “Yes, fewer courses taken and more tuition fee paid, while living expenses remain the same.”
Another me said, “Then why do you still burden yourself with an offering?”
I said, “I can take this amount.”
Another me said, “That’s why your mum said you’ve got no savings left.”
I said, “Are you a scholar? You believe all that you are told. Don’t you cross-check it with evidence? If I’d got no savings, have I been transferring my faith from my bank account?”
Another me said, “When did you start this offering?”
I said, “Approximately when I decided to stop evangelising with the Hong Kong Christian Short-term Mission (HKSTM) and devote myself to music studies.”
Another me said, “So it’s been a year since you started offering.”
I said, “It isn’t an amount too large at all if you don’t check it too often.”
Another me said, “Why do you give offerings every month?”
I said, “Because I live in faith under the Holy Spirit.”
Another me said, “Don’t talk to me with the textbook jargons!”
I said, “I believe the Lord supplies my daily need. And the fact is I get work and food every day. Then, I answer the call of the Holy Spirit and support the evangelising work of HKSTM. Is it clear enough?”
Another me said, “You’d better take good care of yourself before any moves.”
I said, “I can still afford my rent and school fee on top of the offering. That shows there is no problem.”
Another me said, “They’re the Lord’s ambassadors. They live in faith under the Holy Spirit. None of your business.”
I said, “Do you think evangelising work can run without money? How do you think the ministers and church administrators make a living? Are you living in faith under the Holy Spirit?”
Another me said, “Of course, I do. I’ve pronounced my faith in Jesus Christ. I returned to the church for sermons and Bible studies.”
I said, “You do? Are the ones living in faith under the Holy Spirit those that love the Lord their God with their heart, their soul, their mind and their strength so little that they are not willing to spend even a dollar in their wallet for the sake and on the development of His kingdom?”
Another me said, “The so-called to live in faith under the Holy Spirit is simply to give a little offering to HKSTM. That’s it?”
I said, “Some more. I give my offerings the first day I joined the “Maggie moves on to Jesus” Group.”
Another me said, “Wow, how much are your offerings altogether? Is there enough money left for your music studies?”
I said, “I’m still studying and I’ve well settled the 3rd semester school fee. What are you worried about? Did you say that you live in faith under the Holy Spirit as well?”
