“The most suitable comfort and encouragement, how will the Lord deliver you❓”

Summon a comrade for me.

…….

21/09/2023 (Thu) 13:00 HKAPA 2nd Floor

The first composition tutorial ended

Another me said, “How is your schooling?”

I said, “Great pressure. Very frustrating.”

Another me said, “Where does the pressure come from?”

I said, “Aural Perception.”

Another me said, “Why is there great pressure in aural perception? You’re neither deaf and dumb.”

I said, “I’m not only deaf and dumb, but also physically handicapped.”

Another me said, “Deaf?”

I said, “The pitches and rhythms, too fast and much to sing. I can’t catch up.”

Another me said, “Dumb?”

I said, “After singing, the lecturer will ask if anyone can find any mistakes, I can only reply, ‘No.’”

Another me said, “What does ‘No’ mean?”

I said, “‘No’ means ‘don’t know’.”

Another me said, “Physically handicapped?”

I said, “The lecturer asks us not only to listen and sing, but also to count the beat with our right hands and the divisions with our left hands.”

Another me said, “Can’t you even move?”

I said, “Just I’m suffering a scamp.”

Another me said, “So what to do then?”

I said, “The lecturer suggests that I should practise first my mouth, then my feet, and finally my head.”

Another me said, “That’s done.”

I said, “Not yet.”

Another me said, “What else?”

I said, “Practise each part separately, and in pairs. Mouth with left hand, mouth with right hand, mouth with left leg, mouth with right leg, mouth with left and right hand, mouth with left and right leg, mouth with right hand and left leg, mouth with right hand and right leg, mouth with left hand and right leg and mouth with left hand and left leg……and finally head, mouth, hands and legs, the whole body altogether.”

Another me said, “……You’re just as…”

I said, “As how?”

Another me said, “As disturbing as the practices.”

I said, “Alas, that’s why I’m really in great pressure and frustration.”

Another me said, “How about other subjects?”

I said, “I don’t want to talk about them now.”

Another me said, “Don’t get dispirited. The Lord is always with you.”

I said, “Stop it. You’re so self-centered. You’re just talking to me in an air-conditioned room but you have never walked across the winds and waves with the Lord. You won’t understand what I am facing. Don’t recite the Bible to me.”

Another me said, “How to practise in such a bad mood? Let’s go for some relaxation!”

I said, “No need. Today’s sight-singing practice, I’ve already completed.”

Another me said, “What? How to practise well in such a bad mood?“

I said, “No, I’ve been given consolation and encouragement. I practised in a stable mood.”

Another me said, “By whom were you given consolation and encouragement? You’ve asked to stop.

I said, “I didn’t say I’d got any consolation and encouragement from you.”

Another me said, “Here I am, the one who knows you the best. Who else knows you better than I do?”

I said, “Stop it. I’ve just reminded me of your self-centredness. Don’t ever think that you know me well.”

Another me said, “If it isn’t from me, who else can it be?”

I said, “It is my Jazz piano teacher, whom the Lord’s arranged for me.”

Another me said, “Who is he?”

I said, “He majored in vocal studies in HKAPA. When he first entered HKAPA, he knew very little about music. He walked through the difficult music training one step after another. Particularly in the subject of aural perception, he started with the last from the class, kept practising and ended up the first of the class. My present situation in HKAPA, he probably knows the best.”

Another me said, “When did the Lord ask him to send you consolation and encouragement?”

I said, “18:46 today, by voice messages in WhatsApp.”

With the encouragement & comfort that you’ve received from the Lord, may you encourage & comfort others (2 Cor.1:3-4).

我跟你一樣,剛剛開始學煮飯、做家務,我的評分老師就是Lawrence,我認為人人平等,人哋做得到,你也可以做得到的!
