A classmate approached.

Classmate said, “What is your name?”

I said, “I’m surnamed Yip. You can call me Wai Hung.”

Classmate said, “Are you staying in this class?”

I said, “Yes, for this semester.”

Classmate said, “How about next semester?”

I said, “Not certain yet.”

Classmate said, “Why?”

I said, “I am not sure until the timetable is released when the term starts in September.”

Classmate said, “The term starts in September? Besides Japanese, what else are you studying?”

I said, “Music Composition.”

Classmate said, “Music Composition? Where are you studying?”

I said, “Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts (HKAPA).”

Classmate said, “Oh, HKAPA. You don’t look like you can compose.”

I said, “Really?”

Classmate said, “It doesn’t matter. Actually, we’ve got a class group. I want to ask if you’d like to join?”

I said, “Yes, I do.”

Classmate said, “Then, I add you into the group.”

I said, “Yes.”

Teacher said, “じゃあ、みんなさん、これで終わります。”

I left.

My phone rang.

Classmate said, “Yip, you’ve left a case in the classroom.”

I said, “What? Oh, my clarinet.”

Classmate said, “I left it in the counter for you. Come back for it.”

I took the lift, returned to the counter and got back my clarinet. There I saw my classmate.

I said, “Thank you.”

Classmate said, “No need.”

I said, “I get to give thanks. You gave me a call for that.”

Classmate said, “We are of the same group. No doubt I’ll call you when you’re in trouble.”

Another me said, “You are of the same group?”

I said, “Yes, of the same group called General Japanese Year 2 Student Group.”

Another me said, “How can you take yourself as a member of the group so fast?”

I said, “Now that I’m added into the group, why can’t I?”

Another me said, “Even though I’ve joined a Christian group for several years, I dare not consider myself as part of it.”

I said, “Why?”

Another me said, “I can feel I belong to the same group as other members do even though I’ve joined the group for several years.

I said, “Do you talk to other members in WhatsApp?”

Another me said, “No, there are a lot of misunderstandings talking in WhatsApp.”

I said, “Do you meet other members?”

Another me said, “No, I’m too busy to join the the meeting.”

I said, “You can still see each other during the Bible studies on zoom.”

Another me said, “I can open the cam for some reasons.”

I said, “If someone has got in trouble like I did, you’ll say something, won’t you?”

Another me said, “Someone else will speak up. It doesn’t have to be me.”

I said, “So you’ve made no communication at all. You aren’t of the same group as the others of the Lord.

Another me said, “I’ve already joined a Christian group.”

I said, “What? You do not communicate. Which is of the same group as you are? Which one in the group knows you?”
