Another me said, “What is that?”

I said, “Japanese.”

Another me said, “Aren’t you too casual? Just 1-word answer and push me aside! Are you looking down on me for not knowing Japanese?

I said, “I know well about you.”

Another me said, “What about me?”

I said, “No diligence, no hard work, no learning, no efforts, nothing known in the end and blame cast on me. I know it well enough. I’ve prepared you the Chinese translation.”

Another me said, “Where?”

I said, “Roll to the bottom.”

Another me said, “Honourifics again?”

I said, “Yes.”

Another me said, “Honourifics are a headache!”

I said, “Yes. A big headache. Even the Japanese find them confusing. They look for somewhere to learn.”

Another me said, “Do you remember about 10 years ago, which topic were you at when you gave up Japanese and left the Japanese Society of Hong Kong?

I said, “Honourifics.”

Another me said, “Is the Lord sick?”

I said, “The Lord never gets sick but only we will.”

Another me said, “If the Lord had not been sick, why would He have made such a joke? He’s just helped you get rid of the over 10 years of shadow and arrange you to re-take Japanese. He knows the best you’re the weakest in honourifics. Why did he have you deal with honourifics, the one that you did the worst, the most disgusting, the most annoying, the greatest desire to give up.”

I said, “It is the weakest, the worst, the most disgusting, the most annoying, the greatest desire to give up that needs dealing with the most. Isn’t it the most logical and efficient to start from here?”

Another me said, “Hey, so you want….”

I said, “You want to change or you want to slack?”
