“Witnessing the unfortunate, will you offer help❓”
Knowing it is his own responsibility, I’ll leave it to him.

I said, “Pei Pei.”
Pei Pei ran over. I fastened the strip onto her, packed things and got ready for the morning walk.
Dad said, “Pei Pei.”
Dad got up, and said, “Wa!”
I said, “Early in the morning, why are you loud?”
Dad said, “Look.”
I said, “What’s that?”
Dad said, “From your car.”
I said, “Tung Tung? Don’t set him up.”
Dad said, “Last night, Pei Pei slept with your mum in her big room. You slept in your small room. I slept with Tung Tung on the floor in the living room. If it wasn’t Tung Tung, was I the one that sleepwalked and threw up onto my own sheet.”
I said, “Oh……right, whole grains of dog food were thrown.”
Dad said, “Get a towel and wipe it.”
I said, “Crazy.”
Dad said, “What?”
I said, “Get it yourself. I told you not to feed him whenever Tung Tung comes to you. But you fed him till he threw up. The whole grains were thrown. Right, they were all on your sheet, all around. You ate them back.”
Dad looked at me.
I said, “Go, Pei Pei.”
I stepped out and closed the door.
……
Another me said, “You’re acting like that as a son, aren’t you?”
I said, “I’m what you could see.”
Another me said, “You nasty, are you acting like that as a Christian?”
I said, “Didn’t you see how I ignored my dad and headed straight to the door?”
Another me said, “Even you neighbours you get to help, let alone your dad?”
I said, “I’m now helping him.”
Another me said, “With which hand of yours were you helping him? He told you to get a towe and wipe it.”
I said, “I did not help him with my hands but on my feet.”
Another me said, “How did you help him with your feet?”
I said, “I walked out of the door and left.”
Another me said, “What help was it? You bought Tung Tung. You sound to me you aren’t responsible.”
I said, “Since Tung Tung started vomiting, I got him to the vet, bought and fed him gastrointestinal medicine and probiotics. It took quite a while to recover. But then when he vomited again, I suspected he over-fed him. I told him to stop. He turned to me a deaf ear. I kept calling, but he kept feeding.”
Another me said, “So that’s why you let your dad reap what he showed?”
I said, “If I hadn’t let him take his own responsibility, did you believe he’s have had any any reflection and made any remedy?”
Another me said, “How can you tell he wouldn’t?”
I said, “If he’d stopped over-feeding, why didn’t he talk back when I accused him of over-feeding?”
Another me said, “I don’t need any help from such a cold-blooded Christian as you are. I pray for help from my loving Lord.”
I said, “What help would you want from from the Lord?”
Another me said, “A helping hand for your dad, nasty son!”
I said, “OK. Go praying.”
Another me said, “So how about you?”
I said, “Even the Lord didn’t stop Tung Tung from throwing up onto his sheets. I’d surely took this good chance to leave behind for him the throw-up he made himself. You’re so kind. You like taking others’ responsibilities. I leave it to your choice. I’m going. Take as much as you want.”
