“Gospel, how to go around❓”

I took a seat at the middle of the room. The colleague facing the computer behind me turned around……

Colleague said, “I watched your testimony.”

I said, “Where did you find my testimony?”

Colleague said, “YouTube.”

I said, “YouTube? Impossible? I haven’t sent you the link. What’s more, I don’t even have your number.”

Colleague said, “Your colleague sent me.”

I said, “My colleague?”

Colleague said, “Edith.”

I said, “Get it. Edith got your number, right?”

Colleague said, “No, she didn’t.”

I said, “Well, she didn’t have your number. How could she forward you my testimony?”

Colleague said, “She asked another colleague.”

I said, “Worth the effort?”

Colleague said, “Yes, to her. She’s really proactive. She even asked me to “Like” and “Share” if I appreciated it.”

I said, “Wow, that proactive.”

……..

Another me said, “For what is your colleague trying so hard?”

I said, “For what? For the good news!”

Another me said, “Worth that effort? Ask colleague A for colleague B’s contact only for forwarding colleague B nothing but the trash video of your testimony.”

I said, “trash video? This records my proactive reflections of how the Lord guides me along my daily walk up to now. I even made a written draft, invited a church sister to pair up with me, looked for background music and asked a church brother to design the video opening for me.”

Another me said, “I know how much effort you’ve paid. I watched your testimony and I appreciate your efforts. But isn’t that worth a big deal? So busy are everyone of us.”

I said, “If it’s a deal too big, how should it be?”

Another me said, “If one appreciates, give a ‘Like’ and “share” to those around him. And that’s fine.”

I said, “Do you appreciate my work?”

Another me said, “Why don’t I? The Lord is guiding. And you’re trying so hard to follow.”

I said, “You appreciate so much. Have you ever shared it around?”

Another me said, “Of course not. How would others find it if I share for no good reason.”

I said, “No sharing, any ‘like’?”

Another me said, “Of course not. How would others find it if I give a ‘like’? How would they see me?”

I said, “Get away from me as far as you can. Exactly because right watching me stand too many people like you, who do nothing for the spread of the gospel, the good news of the Lord has never gone around.”

Another me said, “You think the gospel can go further, if I get farther away?”

I said, “I’m going to look for ones that will share the good news together with me, and the gospel can go around. Get away!”
