I got a message from a colleague of HKU Space.

Colleague said, “Yip Sir.”

I said, “Yes.”

Colleague said, “A piece of bad news.”

I said, “What’s up?”

Colleague said, “There’re much fewer classes in the coming academic year, especially on Saturday. So there probably won’t be classes arranged for part time teachers.”

I said, “Understand. Thank you for letting me know in advance.”

…….

Another me said, “Sick is the Lord.”

I said, “The Lord never gets sick. But you will some day.”

Another me said, “Now you’ve got much larger expenses. He’s saved Tung Tung.”

I said, “So what?”

Another me said, “Now that He’s saved Tung Tung, He should also take up the medical expenses as well.”

I said, “He’ll pay.”

Another me said, “Pay? What? I haven’t asked Him to drop you the money you need from the heaven window. You don’t mind earning it on your own. But why on earth did He take away your part time job in HKU Space. He’s sick, isn’t He?”

I said, “You’re sick. You always shout for what you want.”

Another me said, “I do so because I’m worried about you. You’ll run out of money if you sit waiting. Aren’t you scared?”

After a series of questions and answers……

Staff said, “Yip sir, can you start teaching since September 7th.”

I said, “Yes, I can.”

Staff said, “Then let’s sign the contract.”

I said, “Oh, so efficient?”

Staff said, “I think you’re the right person and you just said you are available for teaching. Why not signing the contract now?”

I said, “Right.”

Staff said, “Actually I’ve interviewed more than 20 candidates in the last few months but can’t still find a suitable one. But I don’t want to pick one randomly.”

I said, “Get it. Thank you for granting me the chance to serve here.”

Staff said, “I’ve decided to assign you 4 classes.”

I said, “Oh? I haven’t taught in your centre before.”

Staff said, “No problem. I think you’re the right person.”

I said, “Thank you. See you on September 7th then.”

Another me said, “No wonder you aren’t scared.”

I said, “I told you I was scared.”

Another me said, “Stop pretending. You’ve got an interview before your scare.”

I said, “Who guaranteed me the job before the interview?”

Another me said, “Don’t you hear? The staff said she’d interviewed more than 20 candidates in the last few months but couldn’t still find a suitable one.”

I said, “Yes, I do.”

Another me said, “She presented you a contract in the first interview. What are you scared of?”

I said, “No doubt I’m now not scared. But I was before I signed the contract.”

Another me said, “Scared? Why didn’t you shout to the Lord for what you want, like what I did.”

I said, “You did it for me already and had my stress eased. It’s time to set off and look for the way out the Lord has prepared, right?”

Another me said, “How do you know the Lord has prepared you another way out?”

I said, “I trust He is my personal Lord. He said he’ll be guiding me all the way. Don’t you believe it?”

Another me said, “I do.”

I said, “If you do, why did you keep shouting instead of setting off and looking for the way out the Lord has prepared, right?”
