“Those that speak God’s Word are Christians, aren’t they❓”
No, those that have a relationship with God are Christians.
......
Last Thursday after my badminton practice, Chan sir introduced to me a higher primary student to learn English.

Parent said, “This was his latest composition.”
I said, “Let me see.”
Parent said, “He’d already made great effort but still he still failed.”
I said, “Um...”
Parent said, “His two previous tutors quit after teaching for a while. Maybe they find my son hard to teach.”
I said, “Um...”
I looked at my student.
I said, “You’ve made great effort in your composition, right?”
Student said, “Yes.”
I said, “How long was your brainstorming?”
Student said, “15 minutes.”
I said, “How long was your writing process?”
Student said, “15 minutes.”
I said, “Is it your writing?”
Student said, “Yes.”
I said, “99% is your work but the first sentence is an exception.”
Student said, “The first sentence was given by the teacher. She asked us to write the essay based on this topic sentence. How do you know it?”
I said, “Your entire piece is formed with simple sentences except the first one. It’s a complex sentence. Besides that, I know why you failed in this piece of writing.”
Parent said, “Why?”
I said, “The first sentence is the topic sentence. It says, ‘It is important to behave well in public places, right?”
Student said, “Yes.”
I said, “According to your elaboration, what do public place refer to?”
Student said, “No elaboration.”
I said, “To behave well, what should we do?”
Student said, “No elaboration.”
I said, “Important, why is it important to behave well in public places?”
Student said, “No elaboration.”
I said, “You did repeat the topic sentence at the beginning of you essay. But what comes after has nothing to do with the topic sentence. You’ve made great effort in elaborating on what you want to say. You should fail in your essay.”
......
Another me said, “I’m making great effort in running my religious belief.”
I said, “How?”
Another me said, “I’ve recited a lot of scriptures.”
I said, “Um...”
Another me said, “The verse that I am most familiar with is Romans 10:9. Let me recite it to you - If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
I said, “Um...”
Another me said, “I can also recite......”
I said, “Hold on. When was the last time you talked with Jesus?”
Another me said, “I can’t remember.”
I said, “When was the last time you got His reminders and made corrections accordingly?”
Another me said, “I can’t remember either.”
I said, “When was the last time you mentioned Jesus’s name?”
Another me said, “I know. It was during the sharing session in the church gathering last Sunday that I mentioned His name.”
I said, “You have not believed Him yet. You are still having no relationship with God. You are not yet a Christian.”
Another me said, “How date you say that? What do you know about me?”
I said, “I am with you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Why don’t I know?”
Another me said, “What do you know?”
I said, “I can hear scriptures in your mouth but see no God in your life. You’re making great effort in leading your life in a way with you as the Lord. You have no relationship with God, do you?”
