“The lost, how to find❓”
The Lord may have someone good to deliver the lost back to me.

After class, I put my teaching stuff back to my locker and left for lunch.
I stretched my hands into my pockets, searching my AirPod for music enjoyment.
Another me said, “Where is your AirPod?”
I said, “Not in my pocket.”
Another me said, “Where is it?”
I said, “Room 108.”
Another me said, “Sure?”
I said, “I had my first class in Room 208 but I got into room 108. When I was about to leave, I dropped my AirPod down onto the ground. I picked it up and left it on the table.”
Another me said, “Go to room 108.”
I said, “No, it’s locked during lunch time. I get to ask the staff in the enquiry counter for help.”

I rang the bell.
Janitor A said, “Sir, May I help you?”
I said, “I’ve lost my AirPod. I suspect I’ve left it in room 108.”
Janitor A said, “When did you lose it?”
I said, “Around 9 a.m.”
Janitor A said, “How does your AirPod look like?”
I said, “A white oval box that holds two wireless earphones.”
Janitor A said, “Let me see. From 9 a.m. until now, there’s no report of any AirPod found from room 107.”
I said, “Understand.”
Janitor A said, “Let’s do the registration first. Then, you go for a search. I open the door got you.”
I said, “Thank you.”

Janitor A opened the door. I looked around the instructor’s desk but found nothing.
Janitor A said, “Where have you been after room 108?”
I said, “Room 208.”
Janitor A said, “Let’s move to room 208. I open the door for you.”
I said, “Thank you.”

15/09/2021 (Wed) 13:00 Room 208 Open University
Janitor A opened the door. I looked around the instructor’s desk but found nothing.
Janitor A said, “Where have you been after room 208?”
I said, “Room 106.”
Janitor A said, “Let’s move to room 106. I open the door for you.”
I said, “Thank you.”
……
15/09/2021 (Wed) 13:00 Room 106 Open University
Janitor A opened the door. I looked around the instructor’s desk but found nothing.
Janitor A said, “Where have you been after room 106?”
I said, “Down to the enquiry counter on the ground floor.”
Janitor A said, “Will it be left in your own pockets, locker or backpack?”
I said, “I’ve searched all these. Let’s check once more, just in case.”
I searched my pockets, locker and backpack only to find nothing.
I said, “Not there.”
Janitor A said, “Did you mark all the three classrooms in the lost-property record?”
I said, “I just did room 108.”
Janitor A said, “Let’s return to the enquiry counter, add the two room numbers on the record and wait for any pick-up.”
I said, “Good idea.”

I said, “Excuse me, I’d like to change the lost-property report record.”
Janitor B said, “No need.”
I said, “Huh?”
Janitor B said, “This is the AirPod that a lecturer brought back. See if it’s yours?”
Janitor B passed me the AirPod.
I said, “Yes. You said no AirPod was picked up but suddenly it came?”
Janitor B said, “The lecturer just said he found it at the lecturer’s desk in room 108. He said it was something expensive. He’s worried someone might take it away. So he kept it and returned it when class was over.”
I said, “Wow, I’m so lucky. Thank you.”
……
Another me said, “Are you focused on your work?”
I said, “Yes, I am. If I hadn’t been focused on teaching, my students should have complained about me.”
Another me said, “If you’d been focused, why would you have not been able to keep your AirPod?”
I said, “Because it’s too small to keep an eye on.”
Another me said, “You’re just careless! You’d have placed it well after use.”
I said, “Yes, I’ll pay more attention.”
Another me said, “More attention? How many times did you leave your AirPod aside?”
I said, “……”
Another me said, “You deserve it.”
I said, “Yes, I do.”
Another me said, “As careless as you are, you should not have been allowed to find it back!”
I said, “Agree. But frankly speaking, it is not I myself that managed to find it.”
Another me said, “You never stop talking back. Are you aware of the mistakes that you have made?”
I said, “Yes, I am. But the fact is, it is not I myself that found it even after searching everywhere in OU, but the Lord that called someone so good to have brought it back to the enquiry counter for me.”
