“Why is the Lord worth my longing❓”
If He has ever promised, He will fulfil it however many years have passed.

I took the invitation to conduct for a group of elderly to sing the hymn "His Kingdom is Near" in the graduation ceremony for the Ladies’ and Elderly’s Evangelistic Studies.
Another me said, “Why is there someone inviting you to conduct? Aren’t you studying composition?”
I said, “The person-in-charge knows me.”
Another me said, “How did she know you?”
I said, “Before I studied music, I’d done two nighttime evangelism courses.”
Another me said, “What are nighttime evangelism courses about?”
I said, “About how to spread the gospel.”
Another me said, “Do we need to learn about it?”
I said, “Yes, if you want to do it well.”
Another me said, “Have you graduated from the nighttime evangelism Programme?”
I said, “Not yet, still one more course to go.”
Another me said, “Why didn’t you complete it?”
I said, “Because I started studying music.”
Another me said, “Oh, so you told the person-in-charge of your decision to study music. Then, she asked you to conduct. It’s chronologically logical.”
I said, “What? I conducted 4 years after you mentioned this idea.”
Another me said, “What? 4 years? It’s enough to get a degree.”
I said, “There are still 3 years before I graduate from HKAPA.”
Another me said, “How could the person-in-charge have remembered what she said 4 years ago?”
I said, “Because the Lord reminds.”
Another me said, “Are you serious? In no more than 4 minutes, I’d have forgotten whatever I had said.”
I said, “That’s why I won’t wait for you. When I find no reaction from you, I’ll move on and and save time.”
Another me said, “So you don’t wait for me for as short as 4 minutes, but the Lord for as long as 4 years.”
I said, “Of course, for the Lord, I’ll wait for even 7 years.”
Another me said, “Won’t you?”
I said, “I completed the Higher Certificate in HKIIM in 1 year, the Diploma in Composition in 2 years, and completing the Bachelor of Music in HKAPA in 4 years. It’ll be 7 years by then.”
Another me said, “Did the Lord ever promised you He’d invite you to conduct 4 years later?”
I said, “I’m not sure. Maybe yes or maybe no. Because I could hear nothing but the person-in-charge mention such an idea 4 years ago.”
Another me said, “So you’ve been waiting for 4 years since then. Mad?”
I said, “Why shouldn’t I wait? As long as I’m living here, I’m waiting.”
Another me said, “For death?”
I said, “For the Lord’s reply.”
Another me said, “It takes your time and attention to wait for a reply. Is it worth?”
I said, “The Lord, who will realise what He promises even 4 years later, is no doubt worth my waiting.
Another me said, “4 years, 1,461 days, how to keep waiting?”
I said, “The Lord has never asked me to do nothing while waiting in expectation. He’s telling me what to do every day. Haven’t you got connected to Him through prayers?”
