Composition Class

When I was switching on my computer…….

Teacher said, “How is your cat?”

I said, “Return for follow-up consultation 3 weeks later.”

Teacher said, “Where is the follow-up consultation?”

I said, “Heart Disease Specialist.”

Teacher said, “What to follow up?”

I said, “The doctor is still testing the dosage. She wants to find out the optimal dosage that can control the heart disease. The less the dosage, the lighter the burden caused to the cat’s organ.”

Teacher said, “Um……wow, how many tests altogether? This should have spent a lot of your money.”

I said, “Really. I intended take a break but I’m now looking for a summer job.”

Teacher said, “Until now, how much have you spent? The first hospital?”

I said, “Around $6,000.”

Teacher said, “The second hospital?”

I said, “Around $30,000.”

Teacher said, “The first visit to the specialist?”

I said, “Around $10,000.”

Teacher said, “The second visit to the specialist?”

I said, “Yes. I won’t stop composing. I’m a composer.”

Another me said, “Are you practising the clarinet?”

I said, “Yes, Composing always goes with performing. I’m going to take the Grade 5 exam.”

Another me said, “You’re working, you’re composing, and you’re practising. I think you’d better look for a space to rest.”

I said, “Where is the space?”

Another me said, “Stop writing.”

I said, “I stop writing?”

Another me said, “Stop writing your weekly reflection.”

I said, “No, I’ll find another space for a rest.”

Another me said, “Why?”

I said, “I want to leave some time for the Lord and talk about His work on me.”

Another me said, “You still leave time aside for the Lord despite being so busy?”

I said, “Yes.”

Another me said, “You’ve left time aside for the Lord before?”

I said, “My weekly reflection, words more than pictures. What do you think?”

Another me said, “Why do you still leave time for the Lord despite being so busy?”

I said, “He is my family member. Unless you don’t consider the Lord as part of your family……”
