“Even though I have taken a step to follow the Lord, why is there still no apparent change at all in my life❓”
Maybe either you’re not clear or do not accept that you have to pay heavy price in order to experience changes in life.

Student said, “I think I’ve tried quite hard but I can very little improvement in my English.”
I said, “I think you keep improving. When you first came to me, you could neither even read a single , nor write a complete sentence. But you could do both.”
Student said, “But it’s still far from what I desire.”
I said, “Which level would you like to attain?”
Student said, “I wish I can write good essays, do accurate translation and speak fluent English.”
I said, “How long have you been learning from me?”
Student said, “It’s already a year and 2 months.”
I said, “But you’d only one lesson a week, one hour per lesson. Sometimes you took leaves.
Student said, “But I’ve done my homework.”
I said, “Hold on. Let me see. You’ve done 55 pieces of Chinese-English translations and 65 sentence structure drillings.”
Student said, “Oh my goodness. How could you have been counting them?”
I said, “I asked you to submit your work online, remember? And I’d got a folder for each of my private students. I can check what you’s done with as simple as a click on my computer.”
Student said, “But I did pay heavy price.”
I said, “You did pay but the price is not the that heavy at all.”
Student said, “Not heavy?”
I said, “No, it isn’t.”
Student said, “How much can it be?”
I said, “Like one student of mine, who is a mother of three, she’s been learning from. Me for 6 years. She started at a level even higher than you did. Now, she has done 243 pieces of English-Chinese translations, 188 pieces of Chinese-English translations and 532 pieces of drillings.”
Student said, “How about you?”
I said, “Let’s skip my primary and secondary education and simply focus on my tertiary studies. During my 3 years of full-time Bachelor Degree studies, I almost practised translation every day. In the two-year part-time Master Degree Studies, I almost practised transkation every two days. In the following decade, for every piece of translation that my student had done, I would provide a model for their reference.”
Student said, “Alas…”
I said, “Last year you worked really hard. It was good effort. You’re simply not clear about how much price you have to pay for the goal you have in your mind. Keep your effort for 3, 5 or 7 more years, I am sure you’ll reap some fruit.”
……
Another me said, “Alas.”
I said, “What’s wrong?”
Another me said, “In music, what apparent change would you like to undergo?”
I said, “I want to be an all-rounded composer, a music professional.”
Another me said, “Keep your effort for 3, 5 or 7 more years.”
I said, “I’m ready. I’ll work hard at least until the completion of the 4-year Bachelor Degree of Music.”
Another me said, “At least? How about 4 years later?”
I said, “If the Lord allows, I can go on studying or get some experience in music-related work.”
Another me said, “Alas.”
I said, “What’s wrong again?”
Another me said, “I want an apparent change in my life.”
I said, “Great. On your side.”
Another me said, “I’ve already followed the Lord and made the first step forward, but there is no change at all in my lives so far.”
I said, “What is the first step that you have made?”
Another me said, “Getting baptized.”
I said, “What’s next?”
Another me said, “Next? Do you know how much effort I’ve paid to make the first step? I’ve try my very very best. No more energy left.”
I said, “You don’t really know or accept how much price to pay in order to experience change in your life.”
Another me said, “I don’t know? I don’t accept? Do you know how long I have got baptized?”
I said, “Don’t contact me in the coming 3, 5 or 7 years.”
Another me said, “Why?”
I said, “Even so many years after your baptism, you’re still reluctant to make a step forward with the Lord, I can foresee that you are not going to make any change to your life in the coming 3, 5 or 7 years. For discussions of plans that will bear no fruit, I don’t want to be involved. That’s it.”
