I was looking for a rehearsal venue for my recently arranged piece, Jingo.

Another me said, “Have you found the venue?”

I said, “Not yet.”

Another me said, “Why?”

I said, “So many limitations.”

Another me said, “What are they?”

I said, “Small Budget.”

Another me said, “How much is available?”

I said, “$1500.”

Another me said, “Not little as all. Quite enough. You aren’t booking a hotel but a band room.”

I said, “But I’ve got so many people.”

Another me said, “How many?”

I said, “14 instrumentalists, 1 composer, 15 altogether.”

Another me said, “So $100 each? Not even enough for a dinner.”

I said, “Music isn’t a necessity. The budget is about that amount.”

Another me said, “The band room in Mongkok that you’ve used, how much?”

I said, “$400 per hour.”

Another me said, “$400 per hour? It’s done in 4 hours, rehearsals, recording and performance, which can be done?”

I said, “Alas…I don’t know.”

Another me said, “Ah, there’s one in Kwun Tong you’ve used. How much?”

I said, “$130 per hour.”

Another me said, “This is fine. As many as 11 hours can be used.”

I said, “The venue is too small, not enough for 15 people.”

Another me said, “Done.”

I said, “Seek help.”

Another me said, “From whom?”

I said, “From the instrumentalists that the Lord’s arranged for me.”

Another me said, “If they’d got any solution, you wouldn’t have got so worried, composer.”

I said, “Let me ask. Stop judging before I ask.”

I said, “God morning, everyone. I’m now looking for a band room, which is equipped with a piano, a drum set, and an amplifier…If you know where there is such a band room, please let me know.”

Instrumentalist A said, “I know one has got a clubhouse whose band room is equipped a grand piano, a drum set and an amplifier. She is HKIIM schoolmate. Do you know her?”

I said, “No, I don’t. Can you share with me her number so that I can contact her?”

Instrumentalist A said, “She doesn’t know I’ve joined your group. I find it hard to explain. Instrumentalist B, can you help asking her?”

After some communication, Instrumentalist B shared with me her number.

Schoolmates said, “Hi, Yip Yip. I’m also IIM student. May I help you?”

I said, “Yes.”

Schoolmate detailedly described the location, equipment and rent of the band room.

Schoolmate said, “OK?”

I said, “OK, convenient location, good equipment, and cheap rent.”

Another me said, “You’ve finally fixed the budget issue!”

I said, “Are you deaf? I’ve just told you the budget issue couldn’t have been fixed without the help of my IIM classmate.”

Another me said, “You schoolmate’s finally fixed the budget issue!”

I said, “Are you blind? I’ve written you that the budget issue couldn’t have been fixed without the introduction of my instrumentalist to the schoolmate.”

Another me said, “Your instrumentalist’s  finally fixed the budget issue!”

I said, “Hey, are you both deaf and blind? Without the Lord, I wouldn’t have met this instrumentalist who had known the schoolmate before me, would I?”

Another me said, “The Lord’s finally fixed the budget issue!”

I said, “Trivial. He can do everything He will.”

Another me said, “Hey, hold on.”

I said, “What’s up?”

Another me said, “This is your budget issue down on earth. Why would the Lord up in heaven bother to help?”

I said, “Why not?”

Another me said, “Doesn’t the Lord manage only the treasure in heaven? Nothing related in heaven, your problem.”

I said, “Everything from up in heaven to down on earth, none falls out of the Lord’s control.”
