“For people under the wind and rain, will you open the door❓”

The Lord will.
…….

10/03/2024 (Sun) 15:50 Block 2, Parc Palais

Jingo Ensemble Rehearsal & Recording

I got off and called my friend.”

I said, “I’ve arrived.”

Friend said, “Where are you?”

I said, “Block 2.”

Friend said, “I’m coming over, arriving in 10 minutes.”
……..

Another me said, “10 minutes? It’s windy, rainy and freezing cold here. And you’re carrying with you quite a load, a computer, score stands, phone stands…”

I said, “You wants her to fly down here? You’ve to wait even if she leaps down from the top. She isn’t living at this block.”

Another me said, “It’s cold & wet here. How to wait?”

I said, “Stand under the shelter.”

Another me said, “This doesn’t help a lot. Let’s wait inside the reception hall of block 2.”

I said, “No, I am not a resident here.”

Another me said, “So what can we do? Stand waiting here for 10 minutes? You’ll have got sick before your instrumentalist’s arrived.”
……

From my back came a door-opening sound a woman’s voice.

Security said, “Sir, let’s come in.”

I said, “Can I? But I’m not a resident here.”

Security said, “You’re standing outside. Are you waiting for a resident here?”

I said, “Yes, my friend lives here, but not this block. I’m waiting for her to take time to the band room of the clubhouse.”

Security said, “Let’s come in and have a seat.”

I said, “Really?”

Security said, “Please come in.”
……

Another me said, “It’s much better waiting here, with heating and a sofa...”

I said, “I think so.”

Another me said, “You’ve met the security before?”

I said, “Yes.”

Another me said, “When? I don’t know.”

I said, “Just a while ago.”

Another me said, “Hey…you haven’t met her before.”

I said, “Whatever.”

Another me said, “She didn’t know you. Why would she have had to open the door for you?”

I said, “How do I know? How about you ask her?”

Another me said, “If I had been she, I wouldn’t have opened the door for you. What is the business with me if you stay under the rain and wind?”

I said, “The Lord would.”

Another me said, “How do you know?”

I said, “He’d just called the security to open the door.”

Another me said, “How do you know the security wouldn’t have opened the door if the Lord hadn’t called? Couldn’t she have opened the door solely on her own will?”

I said, “If I were the security guard, I wouldn’t open the door. What is the business with me if you stay under the rain and wind?”
