“Who is the one that moves people, a person or the Lord❓”

The one that moves towards people is a person but the one who moves people is the Lord.

……

30/10/2023 (Mon) 18:30 Hong Kong International Institute of Music, Arts Centre.

Piano class ended.

Teacher said, “Are you going to have a composition recital?”

I said, “Yes.”

Teacher said, “When?”

I said, “8pm, Nov 26, are you available and interested?”

Teacher said, “I’ll take the time to come. So besides you, any other classmates taking part?”

I said, “Let me send you the promotion materials.”

Teacher said, “OK.”

Teacher glanced the promotion poster and photos.

Teacher said, “I find that your two piano performers are my students. It may be a good idea tomorrow listen to their playing and provide them with some suggestions for improvement, right?”

I said, “No more chances for revision. No Ensemble practices left.”

Teacher said, “It isn’t you, but I who helps it.”

I said, “Really? What time?”

Teacher said, “Actually, no big amendment at all. Simply when there is time left after piano class, I take the chance to listen to their performance and give a few comments.”

I said, “Great. If you’re OK, they are OK. Please go ahead.”

Teacher said, “Let me ask them.”

I said, “Thank you very much.”

……

Another me said, “You’ve bribed him?”

I said, “What? Ridiculous!”

Another me said, “Have you make extra payment to your piano teacher?”

I said, “No.”

Another me said, “If not, why did she offer to help?”

I said, “Maybe because I told her about my composition recital?”

Another me said, “Aren’t you the only composer giving the recital? There are two more.”

I said, “They are a student of my piano teacher.”

Another me said, “She must help you because you’re her student, mustn’t she? Are you her only student?”

I said, “Of course not. I come to know the teacher in the lesson. It’s the Lord that opens my teacher to my needs and move her to offer me help.”
