“For Self-rehabilitation, to whom will you give thanks❓”

The Lord. This is an ability that He grants.

I woke up and brushed my teeth.

Mum said, “Tung Tung’s done a good job. He’s saved you a handsome amount of money.”

I said, “Tung Tung is working?”

Mum said, “Mad. Tung Tung vomited.”

I said, “What did he vomit?”

Mum said, “It’s a good job that he’s thrown up something bad.”

I said, “What bad thing did he throw up?”

Mum said, “Hair.”

I said, “Hair?”

Mum said, “Altogether 12 bunches. I took photos of all of them.”

Mum showed me the photo.

I said, “How to make money by vomiting? Someone buys his hair?”

Mum said, “Mad. After throwing up, he’s recovered his appetite and stopped having the runs. If he keeps feeling unwell, you have to take him for various medical checks, right? That saves you a handsome amount.”

I said, “Wow, such a big trouble?”

Mum said, “I did a search on the net. This is called hairball disease. The hair that a cat takes in gets entangled.”

I said, “What to do?”

Mum said, “Take in the hairball control gel or power and he may run it out or throw it up.”

I said, “What if he can’t get the hair out?”

Mum said, “Go to the doctor, get anaesthetised and an operation.”

I said, “This really saves a handsome amount. Seeing the doctor is so expensive.”

Mum said, “Money comes and goes. Let it be.”

I said, “Are you going to pay for his medical expenses?”

Mum said, “No, you are. You’re his dad. I’m just helping out of love.”

I said, “Wow, you break off when it comes to money. Didn’t you say money comes and goes?”

Mum said, “Anyway, you pay. What’s more, once anaesthetised, a cat may not be able to wake up and will just go.”

I said, “Wow, thank the Lord.”

Mum said, “Thank the Lord?”

I said, “Of course. Not every cat can get their hair out on their own. This is an ability that the Lord grants.”

Mum said, “Hi, you’re out from day to night. I’m the one that takes care of your cat.”

I said, “Thanks for taking care of Tung Tung.”

Mum said, “That’s what you should say.”

I said, “But I should still offer thanks to the Lord for Tung Tung’s recovery.”

Mum said, “Thank the Lord again?”

I said, “Yes, is the ability to get the hair out of his own body what you and I can give him?”
