I said, “I’ll be teaching an evening class in Ma On Shan Campus of Hong Kong College of Technology (HKCT) from July 3rd to August 13th. It’s near where you live. I’d like to have a dinner gathering with you, interested?”

Church Friend A said, “Yes.”

I said, “Great, see you then.”

Another me said, “Taken the wrong pills?”

I said, “What are you talking about? No pills.”

Another me said, “No pills? You don’t care about your church mates, do you?”

I said, “I do care about my church brothers and sisters.”

Another me said, “Care? In the last three years you studied music, I haven’t at all heard that you’d even asked them for any gathering! Who that I don’t know have you ever asked them out before?

I said, “As far as I can remember, nearly none. I have more than enough fingers to count them.”

Another me said, “Stop it. You don’t care.”

I said, “I’m busy.”

Another me said, “Whoever in Hong Kong isn’t busy?”

I said, “I’m lazy.”

Another me said, “That is true. You dared say you care about your neighbours. You say a lot but you do nothing. How pitiful they are kept waiting for you to show care!”

I said, “I know I fail in showing care. But the Lord is expert in doing so.”

Another me said, “How expert is the Lord showing care?”

I said, “The Lord cares so much about not only my need for money for my full-time music study, but also my Ma On Shan church mates’ need for gatherings that He’s brought such a lazy follower as I am with a teaching job to Ma On Shan by MTR in the evening between July 3rd and August 13th to show care to my church mates in dinner gatherings.”
